Gratitude is a state of being thankful. It makes you more present, aware of the things that you have and takes away the feeling of not having. In our society we tend to focus on what we don’t have and in pursuit to have more, we end up disregarding what we already have. I’ve learned that in order to get more, you have to be grateful for what you already have. How can you expect to get more when you don’t even appreciate what you already have? If you can’t be grateful for what you already have, you will never be satisfied because you’ll never have enough. Today I want you to take a moment to practise gratitude, to just say thank you. Here are 4 few things to be grateful for:
1.Thank you for life
Every day you wake up to see another day is a gift. It’s another chance to experience life, love, laughter. It’s another chance to spend time with your loved ones. It’s so easy to take it for granted so don’t forget to be thankful for life.
2.Thank you for friends
If you have good friends that are always there for you and good to you. Don’t forget to express your appreciation for having them in your life.
3. Thank you for family
If you are someone lucky enough to have a family that you’re close to and love, be thankful for them. Some people long for what you have.
4.Thank you for all the small blessings
They say sometimes it is the small things have the biggest impact. This could be a stranger that smiled at you when you were having a bad day. Someone who went out of their way to help you when they didn’t have to. Take a moment to think about all the small things that have made a difference to your life and be thankful for them.
